It can be daunting to know how to communicate with families who have experienced a recent bereavement of one or more of their multiples. This leaflet has been prepared by Twins Trust to assist health professionals when they are working with multiple birth families in this situation.

Losing a baby from a twin or triplet pregnancy brings its own unique heartbreak and challenges. Footprints Baby Loss offers specialist support that understands the complexities, emotions and needs that come with multiple loss.

As well as supporting families who lose all of their babies, Footprints volunteers also support families through the mixed feelings of grief and care when one or more babies survive. The charity provides support to families across the world via email, phone, messages and video calls with the families.
