Volunteers

The International Council of Multiple Births Organization Council (ICOMBO) is looking for dedicated volunteers to assist the ICOMBO Board of Directors. ICOMBO is currently limited in its ability to work towards its objectives due to a lack of human (and financial) resources. Volunteers are needed to fulfill a number of positions that will better help connect and support national organizations worldwide.

Ideally ICOMBO is seeking volunteers who have experience volunteering at a national or international level, preferably with a multiple-birth organization, has a passion for multiple birth issues and who are comfortable working on their own (seeking assistance when needed) and taking initiative where necessary. Working internationally can be a challenge, but it can also be an exciting opportunity to meet others with a similar passion for multiple birth issues who want to make a difference. Volunteers must have Internet access and access to email.

Please consider volunteering for ICOMBO in one of the following positions or please let us know if you feel you have other skills, services and/or experiences that can contribute to ICOMBO’s Mission and Objectives:

Newsletter Editor

ICOMBO is looking to increase its frequency in offering an international newsletter for national organizations world-wide. One or more volunteers are needed to search out content, edit and compile news and updates from national organizations and other relevant multiple-birth information.

Facebook Monitor

ICOMBO has a presence on Facebook restricted to volunteers with national organizations.  A volunteer is needed to initiate and facilitate discussions between members, monitor the access of those asking to participate as part of this community and have the overall responsibility of content of this site.

Research Volunteers

ICOMBO is looking for one or more volunteers to monitor recent research, track statistical information and monitor requests from outside sources interested in making research-related contact with multiple-birth individuals, parents and/or national organizations.

Translators

Being an international organization there is often a need to translate documents into other languages.  ICOMBO is looking for translators in any language that could provide their translation services voluntarily to translate English written text (i.e. website text, publications and communications) to other languages to help our international communication and partnership with other organizations.

 Are you ready to Volunteer?

Please contact Kimberley Weatherall at volunteers@icombo.org for more information on any of the above listed positions to discuss where your experience, interests and passion are best suited in volunteering with ICOMBO.
